The Guidelines for the Australian Government Black Spot Program have been updated, key changes to the Project Criteria include:
- Crash criteria for rural regions
- Total project allocation increased to $3 million
- Project delivery in two years (three years under exemption)
To reflect these changes, the State Black Spot Program Development Guidelines, specifically the Project Criteria for Australian Government Black Spot Program in Attachment Table 1 have been updated. The amended Guidelines and Project Criteria are available on the Main Roads WA website.
The Guidelines came into effect in July 2024 after the 2024-25 Program was approved.
The Project Criteria for the State Black Spot Program remains unchanged.
